Going Greener and Lightening our Environmental Footprint

One of Chicago's oldest printers, Chicago Press has been eco-friendly since before it was fashionable. Our longtime sustainable practices include:

• Diverting paper from landfills by recycling all of our waste paper and trimmings.

• Recycling aluminum plates

• Actively promoting the use of recycled and chlorine-free papers.

• Printing computer to plate.

• Promoting recycling and energy saving practices among our staff.

• Printing with Agri-based inks which are processed from corn, linseed, canola and other oils 
  in addition to soy.
  
  
  We have now strengthened our commitment to the environment by becomming dual certified 
  by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). These
  are Chain of Custody certifications. Chain of Custody certification assures customers that 
  they are buying products from responsibly managed forests. You can now use these logos
